Webb17 aug. 2024 · The shape of this rebar system contains multiple re-entrant dovetail-shaped grooves in which the open end of the groove is narrower than the closed end of the groove. This modification of the shape has increased the surface area by 1.9 times the conventional solid round rebars of an equivalent diameter (Thomas 2011 ). T-head rebars (also known as “headed reinforcing bars”) are reinforcing steel bars for concrete structures, that are equipped with a device for mechanical anchorage in one or both ends. The anchorage device (the “head”) often has the shape of a plate, that makes the end look like the letter “T”. Therefore, the term “T-head rebar” is used.
