WebWhen creating content, a key factor to the long-term success of that content is the keyword it focuses on. The focus keyword is what you want to be found for when people enter that search query into a search engine. There are three basic categories for these keywords: short tail, medium tail, and long tail keywords. WebLong-tail object detection suffers from poor performance on tail categories. We reveal that the real culprit lies in the extremely imbalanced distribution of the classifier's weight norm. For conventional softmax cross-entropy loss, such imbalanced weight norm distribution yields ill conditioned decision boundary for categories which have small weight norms. the weeknd dwp
The Devil Is in Classification: A Simple Framework for Long-Tail ...
Web2 de jun. de 2024 · Motivated by this, we introduce a Latent Categories based long-tail Recognition (LCReg) method. Specifically, we propose to learn a set of class-agnostic latent features shared among the head and tail classes. Then, we implicitly enrich the training sample diversity via applying semantic data augmentation to the latent features. In his Wired article, Chris Anderson cites earlier research by Erik Brynjolfsson, Yu (Jeffrey) Hu, and Michael D. Smith, who first used a log-linear curve on an XY graph to describe the relationship between Amazon.com sales and sales ranking. They found that a large proportion of Amazon.com's book sales come from obscure books that were not available in brick-and-mortar stores. They then quantified the potential value of the long tail to consumers. In an article published in 2003, … WebFigure 1: Long tail distributions exist for both object cat-egories and subcategories.
