WebJul 28, 2014 · Bismuth-based photocatalysts, Bi 2 WO 6, BiVO 4, and coupled Bi 2 WO 6 /TiO 2 –P25, have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, characterized, and evaluated for the first time for the selective photooxidation of methane to methanol. Several conditions were used in order to better comprehend the reaction mechanism. WebCurrently, bismuth-based compounds have been seen as a potential candidate as photocatalysts due to their high visible light absorption ability, tunable bandgap, and suitable alignment of energy levels. Cs 2 AgBiX 6 double perovskite nanocrystals with tunable absorption of visible light show a good performance in CO 2 photoreduction.
